I am storyteller. I document people, their movements through life and those precious moments that you wish wouldn't end. Documenting moments outside of time and creating safe places to allow others to relax and express and explore is what makes me feel like I'm part of something bigger. It gives me a felt sense of being part, and interacting with this world. Capturing images has always been a passion for me. As a little girl I was running around taking photos of everything and anything - moving or still, beautiful or otherwise. Taking photographs not only taught me how to express my thoughts, but it gave me a medium to express my creativity in this world. This was something I had never experienced - to be able to show people how and what I see. To be able to capture people as the individuals that they are. I grew up in a fluid and creative household and was surrounded by art and photography my whole life. My Mum especially helped me to plant and nurture my creative outlets, guiding me through life, always encouraging me to express myself. Slowly I started to weave my graft into my career which I consider to be an enormous privilege, and for the past 10 years I have been utilising my craft on a professional level by capturing weddings and love.

The Bachelor of Photography lead me to the commercial side of my practice, which was another way to express creativity on a whole other level - developing and designing creative imagery for brands, corporate and fashion portraitures. I have also experimented with film which gives images a whole other window of depth and something I feel excited about.  Majoring in Creative Advertising lead me to explore past my own Journalist/Documentary style learn new ways to capture subjects and people through a different lens. This process expanded my knowledge and skills and I now apply these skills in all forms of my photography, with my work often taking a journalistic approach. My journalism work has also given me vessel to get messages out into the world that are particularly moving to me. I would love to be there to capture some for you .

I love photography so dearly due to the ability to see a moment through one set of eyes. That is truely a gift, to be able to document moments in time to forever look back on.

I am a lover…. especially of photographs that evoke nostalgia / timeless beauty and particularly in black and white.

Basically i’ll try anything and love capturing the beauty in just about everything.
